Judgment :- 1. Mr.S.Udayakumar, the learned Central Government Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents. 2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners had submitted that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeals, dated 19.1.2011, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period. 3. The learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeals, dated 19.1.2011, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners are directed to furnish copies of the appeals, dated 19.1.2011, to the first respondent, along with the copies of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. 5. Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Connected M.P.Nos.1 of 2011 are closed.
