Judgment :- COMMON ORDER 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petitions, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that out of the amount of Rs.6,46,410/-, due to be paid to the first respondent, by the petitioner, as arrears of income tax, a sum of Rs.1 lakh had already been paid, on 19.03.2011. He had further submitted that the balance amount of Rs.5,46,410/-, would be paid by the petitioner in monthly installments. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent in the writ petitions, had submitted that the petitioner may be directed to pay a sum of Rs.1 Lakh, out of the arrears of income tax payable by the petitioner, amounting to Rs.5,46,410/-, within a period of 15 days from today. The balance amount of Rs.4,46,410/-, should be paid by the petitioner, in four equal monthly installments, payable on or before the 15th of every succeeding month. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, the petitioner is directed to pay a sum of Rs.1 Lakh to the first respondent, within a period of 15 days from today. On such payment being made, the attachment of the bank accounts of the petitioner in the respondent banks, shall stand raised. The petitioner shall pay the balance amount of Rs.4,46,410/-, in four equal monthly installments, on or before the 15th of every succeeding month. If the petitioner fails to pay the installments, as directed by this Court, it would be open to the first respondent to initiate appropriate action against the petitioner, in the manner known to law. The writ petitions are ordered accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
