JUDGMENT : The Court : The art.226 petition is disposed of directing the Superintendent of Police, South 24-Parganas to decide the petitioners’ request for supply of police guards at their expense in the light of their application (at p.83), a copy whereof shall be sent to the Superintendent of Police at the time of communication of this order. The Superintendent of Police shall give a reasoned decision by February 25, 2011. The decision shall be communicated to the petitioners. If police guards are to be supplied, then steps for the purpose shall be taken within 24 hours from the moment of deposit of the requisite amount. No costs.
