JUDGMENT :- 1. Heard the learned counsels appearing for the petitioner, as well as the respondents. 2. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final hearing and disposal. 3. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation, dated 14.6.2011, with regard to the request of the petitioner for processing the application relating to the grant of mining lease in his patta lands in S.F.No.155/5A, 157/1 and 157/2, in Panniamalai Vilage, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District. 4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, the second respondent is directed dispose of the representation, dated 14.6.2011, with regard to the request of the petitioner for processing the application relating to the grant of mining lease in his patta lands in S.F.No.155/5A, 157/1 and 157/2, in Panniamalai Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District. However, no final order shall be passed, till the disposal of the writ petition, in W.P.No.15574 of 2003, filed by the petitioner challenging the notification issued by the first respondent, in G.S.R.329(E), dated 10.4.2003, amending the Mineral Concession Rules, 1960. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the representation, dated 14.6.2011, to the second respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
