JUDGMENT Rajiv Sharma, J. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition was heard finally at the admission stage. 2. Case of the petitioner, in a nutshell, is that he has been promoted as Senior Assistant and was transferred to Child the Development Project Office, Chirgaun, District Shimla on November, 2005. He joined his duties on 9th November, 2005. He made representations to respondent No. 2 in the years 2009 and 2010 seeking transfer to District Solan. He has already attained the age of 56 years and is due to retire on 31st December, 2012. 3. The respondents-State has framed guiding principles vide Office Memorandum dated 10th April, 2008, whereby in the case of Officers/Officials likely to retire within two years, efforts are to be made to give them postings in areas as convenient as possible subject to vacancy. The petitioner has already completed his normal tenure of three years at the present place of posting. He is to retire within a period of two years. 4. Consequently, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to make a representation to the respondent No. 2, giving therein, the names of five stations of his choice in District Solan, within a period of one week from today. Thereafter, the respondent No. 2 shall consider the case of the petitioner for transfer from District Shimla to District Solan, within a further period of three weeks. No costs.
