JUDGMENT :- 1. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to grant joint allotment for land under the petitioner possession and enjoyment in Door No.34 Anna 5th Street M.G.R. Nagar Chennai-78 on the petitioner dated 09.05.2011. 2. The case of the petitioner is that originally, Door NO.33, Anna 5th Street, M.G.r.Nagar, Chennai 78 was stated to have been allotted to the petitioner's father M.K.Desappa Mudaliar. After the death of his father, petitioner has made an application on 26.03.2011 for the allotment of the said flat. After receiving the application from the petitioner, the respondent-Housing Board has directed the petitioner to produce some documents vide his letter in the month of April 2011. Based on that, the petitioner has submitted all the documents, which are required to be submitted before the respondent, along with representation dated 9.5.2011. In spite of the same, no order being passed till date, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 3. Considering the limited scope of the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.05.2011 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of, No costs.
