JUDGMENT :- 1. In all these maters, the punishments were imposed by the Disciplinary Authority based on the enquiry report submitted by the Enquiry Authority. The impugned punishment orders were passed without furnishing the copies of the enquiry report, that was relied on by them. In a similar circumstance, this Court quashed the similar impugned order in Nawabkhan Vs. Superintendent of Police, Chengai MGR East District, Chennai and another( (2008) 7 MLJ 1275 ) following a decision of the Constitution Bench of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Managing Director ECIL Vs. B.Karunakar (1994-I-LLJ-162(SC)). 2. Hence, the impugned orders are quashed. Accordingly, the writ petitions are allowed. No costs.
