JUDGMENT :- 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that the petitioner would pay the amount of Rs.26,191/-, as demanded by the respondent, by his impugned order, dated 31.12.2010. He had also submitted that the respondent may be directed to release the vehicle on payment of the said amount . He had also prayed that he may be permitted to challenge the said order, by way of an appeal, before the appropriate authority, in the manner known to law. 3. In view of the said submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the respondent is directed to release the vehicle, bearing Registration No.TN.28 B 3846, on the petitioner paying the sum of Rs.26,191/-, as demanded by the respondent, in his impugned order, dated 31.12.2010. It would also be open to the petitioner to challenge the impugned order, dated 31.12.2010, before the appropriate authority, in the manner known to law. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
