Judgment : The Court : Counsel submits that the petitioner purchasing the land in question from the fourth respondent is seeking an order directing the licensee under the Electricity Act, 2003 to remove the meter board and other installations from the land. It is alleged that inspite of request the licensee has not taken any action. Counsel for the third respondent submits that in a suit filed by the third respondent against the fourth respondent the Civil Court has made an order of injunction restraining the defendants in the suit from disconnecting supply of electricity. In my view, the petitioner’s remedy, if any, was before the Civil Court in which the suit filed by the third respondent against the fourth respondent from whom the petitioner has purchased the land is pending. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the Civil Court seeking appropriate relief. For these reasons, the petition is dismissed. No costs.
