For the purpose of undertaking a comprehensive exercise for evaluation of the damage, if any, caused on Jambunatheswara temple due to mining activities undertaken before passing of stay orders by this Court on 09.07.2010 K. Guruprasad Rao v. State of Karnataka, (2012) 12 SCC 722 (2) and 18.02.2011 K. Guruprasad Rao v. State of Karnataka, (2012) 12 SCC 727 the Committee comprising the following is constituted: 1. The Committee shall inspect the site of the temple and the area where mining activities were being carried out, evaluate the impact of the mining activities on the temple from all possible angles keeping in view the relevant statutory provisions including the Environment Protection Act, 1986, the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The Committee shall submit its report within a period of three months. 4. The Registry is directed to make available by 27.04.2011 copies of this order to the learned counsel for the parties. Rao, learned counsel representing the Archaeological Survey of India and Ms. Anitha Shenoy, learned counsel representing the State of Karnataka undertake to communicate this order to the convener and members of the Committee. 6. Copies of the paper books of the SLP including the documents filed by the parties and the reports submitted before the Court by the Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India shall be made available to the Convener and Members of the Committee by the Government of Karnataka within a period of three weeks. 7.
