Judgment : The Court: The art.226 petition is disposed of directing the licensee under the Electricity Act, 2003 to decide the petitioner’s application for supply of electricity for operating his submersible pump on the strength of the certificate of registration (at p.17). After making enquiry, recording proceedings and hearing parties, if necessary, the licensee shall give a reasoned decision within three weeks from the date of communication of this order. The decision shall be communicated to all at once. If the petitioner is entitled to supply, then supply shall be effected without any delay. No costs. Certified xerox.
