JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph,J. The writ petition is filed with the following prayers: “(i) The respondents may very kindly be restrained from retiring the petitioner from services on 28.2.2011 on his attaining 58 years of age and they may further be directed to continue the petitioner in the service till he attaining the age of 60 years i.e. 28.2.2013. (ii) That the respondents may also be directed to grant work charge status to the petitioner as Beldar w.e.f. 1.5.2005, the completion of 10 years of daily wages with all consequential benefits i.e. from the date of his initial engagement as daily wage Beldar dated 1.5.1995.” 2. The petitioner shall be conferred the work charge status on completion of 8 years with 240 days continuously every year. If such conferment of work charge status is prior to 10th May, 2001, he shall be continued upto the age of 60 years. Necessary orders in that regard shall be passed within two weeks from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition by the petitioner before the third respondent. In case the petitioner is retired in the meanwhile, the same shall be subject to the decision thus taken by the third respondent. 3. The writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
