JUDGMENT Rajiv Sharma, J. Petitioner lost his father on 29th December, 2003. He moved an application seeking appointment on compassionate basis. The case of the respondent-Corporation, in a nutshell, is that the merit list has been prepared of the candidates who have lost their bread earner. Respondent-Corporation has also averred that the case of the petitioner shall be considered as and when the vacancy becomes available. 2. Consequently, in view of above discussion, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Corporation to Whether the reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? No. consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate basis strictly as per the merit list and immediately after the vacancy becomes available. The pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of. No costs.
