JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph, J. In all these cases, petitioners pray that they may be directed to be reengaged as Home-guards in the Home Guard Organization. It is submitted that they had served in the capacity for some time and thereafter they have been disengaged. According to the learned Advocate General, all the petitioners had been asked several times to go and join but they had declined the offer thus made to them, in the year 2001. Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that as far as Home-guards are concerned, there is no reason they should decline such an offer since they wanted to be in service and apparently it could be a communication gap. Be that as it may. All that they want is a direction to the second respondent to consider their case, in case there are vacancies and in case the second respondent is of the view that experienced hands like the petitioners would be helpful. Therefore, all these writ petitions are disposed of directing the second respondent to take appropriate action on the representations filed by the petitioners herein, in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with copy of the writ petition(s) by the petitioner concerned, before the second respondent. 2. The Writ Petitions are disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
