KURIAN JOSEPH, SANJAY KAROL

body2011
JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph, J. Pursuant to the direction issued by this Court, the petitioners, Mrs. Sarita mother of second petitioner, Mr. Inder Jeet, brother of the first petitioner, Mr. Narender, uncle of Mr. Inder Jeet and Mr. Devender , maternal uncle of the second petitioner are present. 2. As permitted the brother of Ms. Saravjeet Kaur also talked to the parties extensively. We are informed by Saravjeet that she is pregnant. We also find from the records that the parties have undergone a customary marriage on 8th February, 2011. It is the case of the petitioners that they have been in love with each other for around ten years. Mr. Inder Jeet brother and Mr. Narender, uncle of Saravjeet Kaur are only apprehensive of the conduct of Mr. Ritesh. According to them, he has been a drug addict since a few years. The mother of Mr. Ritesh submits that he developed this habit only on account of his tension pursuant to the relationship with Ms. Saravjeet and the opposition he faced from the family of Ms. Saravjeet. It is further submitted that since last two months and being in close contact with Ms. Saravjeet, Mr. Ritesh has not taken any drug. She further submits that she is confident of Ritesh mending his ways since the problems in his life have been settled by marriage with Ms. Saravjeet. 3. Ms. Saravjeet has also talked to her parents over telephone. They insisted that with Mr. Inder Jeet and the uncle Ms. Saravjeet should go back and stay with parents for a few months unconditionally and in case they are convinced that the boy has mended ways they would take steps to marry her according to their custom. We are afraid, it is too late for such a course in view of the development we have referred to above. Ms. Saravjeet Kaur in fact is willing and want to meet her parents and even to stay for a few days but it is the stand as of now of the parents, and also the uncle and Mr. Inder Jeet who are present before us that they are not prepared to welcome her like that. However, on behalf of the parents and relatives, Mr. Narender, the uncle and Mr. Inder Jeet, the brother who are present before us have assured that they will not in any way interfere with the family life of Ms. Inder Jeet who are present before us that they are not prepared to welcome her like that. However, on behalf of the parents and relatives, Mr. Narender, the uncle and Mr. Inder Jeet, the brother who are present before us have assured that they will not in any way interfere with the family life of Ms. Saravjeet Kaur and cause any disturbance to them or the members of their family. They only want that Ms. Saravjeet Kaur shall not disturb them in future. It is also heartening to note that in view of the submissions and assurances as above, both Mr. Inder Jeet brother and Mr. Narender uncle have given their blessings also to Ms. Saravjeet Kaur and Mr. Ritesh. 4. We are informed that the brother of Mr. Inder Jeet has filed a Writ Petition before the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking a writ of Habeas Corpus. In view of the development as above, we are informed that they do not want to pursue that Writ petition and the same would be withdrawn. The above submission is also recorded. 5. In the above circumstances, we do not think necessary to issue any further direction since there is no threat to the life and property of the petitioners. On the contrary they have received the blessings of Mr. Inder Jeet and his uncle Mr. Narender. We hope time will cure the wounds of the parties and they will have a warm reconciliation and reunion. 6. With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
