JUDGMENT : PIUS C. KURIAKOSE, J. 1. The petitioner, a 19 year old girl, accompanied by one Shahabas-the 4th respondent, said to be her boy friend, with whom she claims to be in deep love, is present before us. The petitioner seeks police protection against what is described as harassment and manhandling by the third respondent-her father and other members of the family. 2. Going by the averments in the writ petition and by the submissions which were made at the bar by Mr. Basil A.G - the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner is even now residing together with her parents. But, according to the petitioner, she and the 4th respondent, who are in love, have taken a vow to get married once she completes her B.A. course. The 3rd respondent and other members of the petitioner's family manhandled her as they are antagonised by her love towards the 4th respondent. It is submitted at the bar that the 3rd respondent inflicted a stab on the wrist portion of her left inner palm. 3. Despite the averments in the writ petition and the presence of the petitioner and the 4th respondent before this Court and the very passionate submissions of Mr. Basil, we do not think that any case is made out for issuance of any of the directions sought for. If the petitioner or the 4th respondent has a complaint that the petitioner was stabbed by the 3rd respondent-her own father or any member of her family, it is open to the petitioner to approach the 2nd respondent-the Station House Officer or the 1st respondent-Circle Inspector of Police, Njarakkal. We direct the petitioner to approach either the 1st respondent or the 2nd respondent by filing a written complaint. 4. The learned Government Pleader Smt. Charishma has assured us that respondents 1 and 2 will be advised to take appropriate action on prospective petition or complaint which may be filed by the petitioner before them after conducting due enquiry. Recording the above assurance of the learned Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of declining the specific reliefs sought for.
