JUDGMENT Rajiv Sharma, J. It is jointly represented by the learned Advocates for the parties that the matter has been amicably settled for a sum of Rs. 8 lakhs. Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? No 2. Consequently, the judgment and decree dated 3.7.2008 is modified to the extent that now the appellant-defendant shall pay a sum of Rs. 8 lakhs to the respondent-plaintiff. The appellant-defendant has already deposited the decretal amount with upto date interest with the Registry of this Court. The Registry is directed to release a sum of Rs. 8 lakhs to the respondent-plaintiff within a period of one week from today. Remaining amount shall be released to the appellant-defendant accordingly. No costs. 3. In the light of above, the appeal as well as cross-objections are disposed of, so also the pending application(s) if any. No costs.
