JUDGMENT Rajiv Sharma, Judge. Present petition was filed on the basis of the ratio laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Jagdish Lal and others versus State of Haryana, Civil Appeal No. 3449 of 1997, decided on 7.5.1997. 2. It is not in dispute that the judgment citied hereinabove has been over-ruled by their Lordships of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Ajit Singh and others (II) versus State of Punjab and others, (1997) 7 SCC 209. 3. In the case in hand also, petitioner was given the jump up seniority. It is represented by Mr. R.D. Kaundal that in view of the decision rendered in Ajit Singh’s case (supra), the present petition has become infructuous. Accordingly the same is dismissed having become infructuous. No costs.
