JUDGMENT 1. - Heard learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. Petitioners have preferred this contempt petition for disobedience of ad-interim ex-parte stay order dated 21.02.2004. 3. Till date no notice of this contempt petition has been issued to alleged contemnors/respondents. As per Section 20 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, "No court shall initiate any proceedings of contempt, either on its own motion or otherwise, after the expiry of a period of one year from the date on which the contempt is alleged to have been committed." 4. The petitioners in this contempt petition have alleged that respondents committed contempt of order of this court in the year 2004. Since a period of more than one year has been expired, no contempt proceedings have been initiated in the matter, therefore, this contempt petition is liable to be dismissed as such. 5. Contempt petition is, accordingly, dismissed. 6. In view of above, application dated 30.07.2004 stands dismissed.Petition dismissed. *******
