Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider forthwith the representation dated 9.2.2011 providing electricity connection to petitoiner's residence at No.3/1, Dr.Ambedkar Street, Puthama Nagar, Kazhipattur village, Padur post, Kanchipuram District 603 103. 2. Mr.A.Ravindran, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents electricity board. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. It is stated that petitioner submitted an application dated 7.2.2011 with indemnity bond for electricity service connection to his residential house as above. He also made a reminder to the third respondent on 9.2.2011 to consider his application dated 7.2.2011. Since, the third respondent has not considered the said application, present writ petition is filed for a mandamus. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the authority will consider the application for electricity service connection in accordance with law. 5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, and the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents electricity board, the third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application dated 7.2.2011 and the reminder/representation dated 9.2.2011, if it is otherwise in order on merits and in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
