JUDGMENT Deepak Gupta, J. Mr. B.S. Ranjan learned vice counsel for the petitioner has very fairly stated that monetary benefits due and payable to the petitioner have been paid. He therefore restricts his claim to the grant of compassionate appointment to the petitioner. 2. The undisputed facts are that late Sh. Bhoop Ram who was the employee of the respondent-department expired on 11.12.1997. After the death of her husband, Smt. Satya Devi widow of late Sh. Bhoop Ram adopted the petitioner as her son on 19.9.1988. The petitioner at that time was aged about 26 years. 3. In view of the fact that Bhoop Ram had died in the year 1997 and the petitioner was adopted after the death of Bhoop Ram, he (petitioner) cannot be held entitled to any compassionate employment. The petition is therefore rejected. No costs.
