Judgment :- 1. Mr.S.Kanmani Annamalai, the learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent. 2. Heard the learned counsels appearing for both sides. 3. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent had submitted that the entire arrears of tax, amounting to Rs.20,38,715/-, may be directed to be paid by the petitioner, in ten equated monthly installments, beginning from 15.3.2012. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had consented to pay the entire arrears of tax amount, as stated by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 5. In view of the above, the petitioner shall pay the entire arrears of tax, amounting to Rs.20,38,715/-, in ten equated monthly installments. The petitioner shall pay the first installment, on or before 15.3.2012, and the other remaining installments, on or before 15th of every subsequent calendar months. 6. It is made clear that, on the failure of the petitioner to pay any one of the ten installments, as stated above, the entire amount of sales tax arrears, payable by the petitioner, would become due, and it would be open to the respondent to initiate appropriate proceedings against the petitioner, to recover the same, in accordance with law. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
