Judgment :- 1. This Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the letter Na.Ka.No.318/2011 dated 3.2.2012 issued by the third respondent and direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application under Tamil Nadu Regulation of Wood Based Industries Rules, 2010 and issue licence to petitioner's Sawmill M/s.Nilirigi Timber Firm. 2. Mr.Muralidharan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. The third respondent Forest Range Officer issued a show-cause notice on 15.2.2012 calling upon the petitioner to give explanation within seven days as to why the mill should not be closed for want of proper approval of Central Empower Committee. Petitioner submitted certain documents, like, the certificate issued by the fourth respondent to show that the mill was running from 1968 and the building plan was granted in the year 1980. However, no proper explanation appears to have been given in support of these two documents. 4. In such view of the matter, if the authorities have not taken any final decision in the matter, the petitioner is given liberty to make a representation/explanation along with a copy of this order and the same shall be considered by the third respondent in accordance with law. Petitioner claims that he had already made an application under the Tamilnadu Regulation of Wood Based Industries Rules, 2010. If the said application is already on file, the same may also be suitably disposed of expeditiously. 5. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
