Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide electricity connection to petitioner's property bearing Survey No.308/34 in Eriyur Village, Chinna Salem, Villupuram District 2. Mr.Varunkumar, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. Petitioner seeks agricultural service connection based on old claim. He also relies upon the letter of the third respondent dated 1.11.2010 and the lawyer notice dated 22.3.2012 to claim for a mandamus as above. 4. Mr.Varunkumar, learned counsel for the respondents states that the authority will look into the claim of the petitioner on the basis of the records, eligibility and the entitlement and decide the issue on its own merits as may be directed by this court. 5. Considering the long period of time that has elapsed, the third respondent is directed to consider the claim of the petitioner with regard to the claim for agricultural service connection on its own merits expeditiously. It is made clear that this court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim and the authority will deal with it independently. 6. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
