After obtaining the Visa for employment he came to India in 2008 and employed in MGM Group of Companies as a Regional Head. His Visa was in effect till 30.01.2011. Thereafter, a criminal case was registered against him on 07.06.2011 in Cr.No.33/2011 on the file of Harbour Police Station under Sections 448 and 419 of I.P.C. on the allegation that he attempted to gain illegal entry into the ship by holding other’s Harbour entry permit which was issued in the name of one R. The grievance of the petitioner is that he applied on 20.01.2012 for extension of Visa which was expired on 30.01.2012 to the respondent, however till date the respondent has not considered his application for extension of Visa. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition. 5. Considering the limited scope of the writ petition filed before this Court, I am inclined to direct the respondent to consider the Application, dated 20.01.2012 filed by the petitioner and issue notice to the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. In the result, the writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
