Judgment :- T.S.SIVAGNANAM 1. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to remove the statue of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri M.G. Ramachandran erected illegally by encroaching the public pathway and without obtaining proper sanction from the appropriate authorities, in the pedestrian platform in Gandhi Mandapam Road -Ranjith Road Junction, Chennai. 2. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the writ petition, we are prima facie of the view that the instant writ petition is politically motivated. We are not inclined to enter into such matters. This writ petition is, therefore, dismissed. However, there will be no order as to costs.
