Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition No.14599 of 2012 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.14,29,479/- alone in 12 equal monthly installments along with the regular current consumption charges. 2. Writ Petition No.14600 of 2012 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.3,53,592/- alone in 12 equal monthly installments along with the regular current consumption charges. 3. Writ Petition No.14601 of 2012 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.22,61,194/- alone in 12 equal monthly installments along with the regular current consumption charges. 4. Heard Mr.R.S.Pandiyaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.A.Navaneethakrishnan, learned Advocate General, appearing for the respondents. By consent, the three writ petitions are taken up together for final disposal. 5. Petitioners seek payment of additional security deposit in 12 equal monthly installments. Though two orders have been passed, during summer vacation granting 12 equal monthly installments, this court is not inclined to accept the said formula as there appears to be no justification for petitioners to seek 12 equal monthly installments. The payment for additional security deposit should be made forthwith. 6. However, considering the fact that the Electricity Board itself is giving relief by way of three equal monthly installments and also taking note of the financial difficulty expressed by the petitioners, this court is inclined to grant the relief of payment of additional security deposit in six equal monthly installments. Such order is passed after consent from the learned Advocate General, assisted by Mr.S.K.Rameshwar, learned counsel appearing for the Electricity Board. The first installment shall be paid on or before 22nd June, 2012 and thereafter, on or before 3rd Friday of every succeeding month. The petitioner, however, is liable to pay the monthly current consumption charges regularly without fail. 7. The three Writ Petitions are disposed of as above. No costs.
