Judgment :- 1. The petitioner has filed the Writ of Mandamus praying for an issuance of an order by this Court in directing the third respondent in sponsoring her name for selection to the post of Assistant Engineer in the second respondent office/Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board through Written Examination scheduled to be held on 25.11.2006. Further, the petitioner has sought for passing of an order directing the first respondent to permit her to attend the written examination for the said post. 2. The Learned Counsel for the second respondent has filed a memo before this Court inter-alia mentioning that the petitioner had not taken part in the written test. Also she was not called for the oral interview and further selection process. The interview and the selection process were over even on 05.02.2007. The selected candidates were also appointed as Assistant Engineers and as on date, nothing survives in the writ petition. 3. In view of the fact that the writ petition becoming infructuous, this Court dismisses the Writ Petition as an infructuous one. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. No costs.
