Judgment :- 1. Petitioner has approached this court with a prayer for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to continue in service till the end of the academic year 2011-2012, i.e., upto 31.05.2012 in terms of G.O.Ms.No.281, Education Department dated 13.02.1981. 2. The case of the petitioner is that as the petitioner attained superannuation on 31.12.2011, therefore submitted an application enclosing medical fitness certificate to the 1st respondent college secretary on 07.10.2011, with a request to forward his application to the RJDCE, to permit the petitioner to continue in service from 01.01.2012 to 31.05.2012; as decided by State Government vide G.O.Ms.No.281 dated 13.02.1981. 3. On notice, the learned counsel for the 1st respondent, appeared and on instructions first respondent states that the request of the petitioner has been accepted, and he will be allowed to continue in service till the end of academic year 2011-2012, i.e., upto 31.05.2012. 4. In view of the stand taken by the respondents, the prayer claimed in the writ petition has been rendered infructuous. 5. Disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
