Judgment :- 1. This Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the enhanced compensation due to the petitioners pursuant to the communications of the second respondent in Letters No/Plan/Collectorate/2009 dated 12.10.2011 and 24.1.2012 within a time to be stipulated by this Court. 2. Ms.V.M.Velumani, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 3 to 6. Mr.Diwakar, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents 2 and 3. By consent the writ petition is taken up for disposal. 3. The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the respondents to disburse the enhanced compensation due to the petitioners in pursuance to the second respondent's communications referred to above. 4. The Special Government Pleader on instruction states that the Special Tahsildar, Land Acquisition under the Neighbourhood Scheme has written a letter to the District Revenue Officer in letter No.Roc.360/87 dated 12.6.2012. She produced a copy of the letter and it reads as follows:- “As per the District Revenue Officer/Tamil Nadu Housing Board instruction the draft Redetermination Award prepared for the Attur, N.H. Scheme. In the above scheme Thiru C.Selvam, S/o. Chinnaiyan and 32 others claiming enhanced compensation and Under Section 28A reference of L.A. Act for their acquired lands in Narasingapuram village, Attur Taluk and Salem District. The above said lands owners are filed written petition in time and they are eligible for enhanced compensation as per Appeal suit Judgment A.S.No.26/97 at rate of Rs.2.75 per sq.ft. Under Section 28 Reference. The draft Re-determination prepared and the same is sent herewith for approval and sanction of necessary compensation amount as per working sheet Rs.3,55,86,688.70.” 5. In view of the above, the authority is directed to process the matter expeditiously, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
