ORDER 1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No. 172/2012 registered in Police Station House Champa District Janjgir-Champa (Chhattisgarh) for offence punishable under Section 436 of Indian Penal Code and Section 25 of Arms Act. 2. It is alleged by the prosecution that the applicant committed mischief by fire in a state of intoxication and damaged articles like TV, clothes etc. causing loss of Rs. 10,000/-. The house belongs to his real brother. 3. Learned counsel for the applicant would submit that infact the house jointly belongs to this applicant and his brother and the fire was accidental and also that the applicant is in jail since 3/07/2012. 4. Learned State counsel has opposed the prayer for grant of bail. 5. Considering the nature of allegations, extent of loss, and the length of pretrial detention, this court is inclined to release the applicant on bail. 6. Accordingly, the application is allowed and the applicant is directed to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial court or the remand court. He is directed to appear before the trial court or the remand court on each and every date given by the said Court. Application Allowed.
