Judgment :- 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, as well as the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had stated that the petitioner had submitted an application, dated 30.08.2011, to the respondent, for the grant of educational loan, for a sum of Rs.5,62,000/-, for pursuing her B.Sc., (Nursing) Course, in Sri Ramachandra College of Nursing, Porur, Chennai. However, the respondent had not passed any orders, in respect of the application, submitted by the petitioner, on 30.08.2011. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition, before this Court, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner, for the grant of educational loan and to pass appropriate orders thereon. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent had submitted that, if the petitioner had submitted an application, dated 30.08.2011, for the grant of educational loan, and if the said application is pending on the file of the respondent Bank it shall be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, within a period of four weeks from today. However, if an order had already been passed on the application, dated 30.08.2011, said to have been submitted by the petitioner, a copy of the said order would be furnished to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from today. 4. In view of the said submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent, since, no further orders are necessary, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
