Judgment :- 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5, had submitted that the 5th respondent would conduct the elections for the various posts in the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of the 5th respondent school, as per the Government Order, in G.O.(Ms).No.242, dated 28.03.1994, issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu, within the time specified by this Court. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 6 to 9 has no objection for this Court issuing such a direction, directing the 5th respondent to conduct the elections for the various posts of the Parents-Teachers Association of the 5th respondent School, as submitted by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 5. 4. In view of the above, the 5th respondent is directed to conduct the elections, for the various posts in the Parents-Teachers Association of the 5th respondent school, as per the procedures specified in the Government Order, in G.O.(Ms).No.242, dated 28.03.1994, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that the present office bearers of the Parents-Teachers Association of the 5th respondent school shall continue, until the results of the fresh elections are declared. This writ petition is ordered accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. No costs.
