Judgment :- 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader (Puducherry),appearing for the respondents. 2. Though the prayer of the petitioner, in the present writ petition, is for a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.04.2009, is directed to be disposed of, by the first respondent, on merits, within a specified period. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, without going into the merits of case, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation, dated 02.04.2009, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to furnish to the respondent a copy of the representation, dated 02.04.2009, along with a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
