Judgment :- 1. The prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the mortgage deed registered on 03.02.1999 as document No.303/99 on the file of first respondent based on the endorsement made by the finance company dated 20.12.2000 with regard to the petitioner property in S.No.2932/5, an extent of 540 sq.ft. situated at 122/2, New No.190, Varadhammal Thottam 2nd Street, Barraca Road, Kilpauk, Chennai. 2. The nature of the prayer itself makes it clear that the petitioner could seek appropriate relief only from the competent civil Court. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P. is closed.
