1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the Writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice if this Court is pleased to set aside the the impugned order, dated 20.2.2012, passed by the first respondent, rejecting the request of the petitioner for stay of collection of taxes, based on the assessment order,dated 27.12.2012, and if the second respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in ITA. No.107/2011-2012, relating to the assessment year 2009-10, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had also submitted that the bank accounts of the petitioner in Andhra Bank,Mount Road Branch, Anna Salai, Chennai, bearing Account Nos.084811100000362 & 084811100000238, have been attached. 4. In such circumstances, the impugned order of the first respondent ,dated 20.02.2012, is set aside. The second respondent is directed to hear and dispose of the appeal, in ITA No.107/2011-2012,on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that no further recovery shall be made from the petitioner, till final orders are passed by the second respondent, in the said appeal. Further, it is also made clear that the attachment of the bank accounts of the petitioner, in Andhra Bank,Mount Road Branch, Anna Salai, Chennai, bearing Accounts Nos.084811100000362 & 084811100000238, shall continue until the appeal, in ITA No.107/2011-2012, is disposed of, by the second respondent, as directed by this Court. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
