ORDER : 1. This petition is directed against order dated 23.11.2011 by which the Division Bench of the High Court rejected the petition filed by the petitioner for suspension of the sentence awarded by the trial Court. 2. We have heard learned counsel for the parties at length and carefully perused the record. 3. Keeping in view the fact that the petitioner is 78 years' old and also the fact that he has been in jail for 6 years, we are satisfied that this is a fit case for suspension of the sentence. 4. Accordingly, the special leave petition is disposed of with the direction that the sentence awarded to the petitioner by the trial Court shall remain suspended and he shall be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond for a sum of Rs. 2 lakh with two sureties of Rs. 1 lakh each to the satisfaction of the trial court. Petition disposed of.
