Judgment :- 1. This Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondent from closing down the Ambattur Unit. 2. On 1.7.2002, the Petitioner Union has made a representation to the Joint Commissioner of Labour, Teynampet, Chennai-600 006 to consider their grievance. Learned counsel for the petitioner now pleads that the grievance of the petitioner will be met, if a direction is issued to the Joint Commissioner of Labour to consider their representation. 3. The fact remains that the Joint Commissioner of Labour is not added as party respondent in this writ petition. However, this Court is inclined to direct the Joint Commissioner of Labour to consider the representation dated 1.7.2002 of the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law, if such a relief is feasible in terms of the relevant provisions of law. The relief sought for in the writ petition is declined. 4. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
