Judgment :- 1. The above writ petition is filed for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the order passed by the second respondent in his Proceedings Na.Ka.No.E4/3728/99 dated 1.10.2000 quash the same and direct the respondents to pay Tamil Scholar pension to the petitioner as per the payment of Pension to Tamil Scholars and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1983 from the date of legislation. 2. The claim of the petitioner for grant of Tamil Scholar pension was rejected by High Level Committee in its meeting held on 6.12.1999 on the ground that the application submitted by the petitioner was not supported by valid and proper certificates. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner will be able to satisfy the authorities by making a fresh representation based on the order passed by His Lordship P.Sathasivam, J. (as he then was), in a batch of writ petitions in W.P.Nos. 1309 to 1322 of 2001 etc., dated 31.1.2002 and the said representation could be directed to be considered by the respondents. 4. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the petitioner is given liberty to make a fresh representation to the Government in respect of the relief sought for by him in this writ petition by submitting material documents as available with him and the same shall be considered on its own merits and in accordance with the law. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
