body2012
JUDGMENT V.K. Ahuja, J. Petitioners in the present writ petition were holding the posts of Clerks/Class-IV employees on contract basis. They were engaged on monthly salary ranging from `3,000/- and `4,500/-, as alleged in the writ petition. They have already completed 6 years of service on contract basis. In the reply, supported by a supplementary affidavit, filed by the respondents, they have admitted that the petitioners are contractual employees, who have completed six years service on contract basis as on 31.3.2012 and are entitled to be regularized. Thus, the respondents have admitted that the petitioners are entitled to be regularized as they have completed the requisite minimum period of their contractual service as on 31.3.2012. It has also been pleaded that the matter of their regularization is under consideration with the Police Department. 2. In view of the above, the petition is allowed to the extent that the petitioners shall be entitled to regularization as per the Policy of the Government and decision to that effect shall be taken by respondent No.4 within a period of three months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment alongwith a copy of the writ petition by the petitioners. In case the petitioners are aggrieved by the order of regularization, they are at liberty to challenge the same, as permitted under law. 3. The petition stands disposed of accordingly, so also the pending application(s), if any.
