Judgment : 1. This is a tenant’s revision petition against the order of eviction under Section 27(2)(r) of the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999 (for short, ‘the Act’). 2. During pendency of revision petition, respondent-landlord has filed an application (IA-I/2012), inter alia contending that petitioner-tenant has not paid rents for the period from December 2010 up-to-date, amounting to Rs. 16,150/-. 3. On 25-7-2012, learned Counsel for petitioner-tenant requested for grant of time to file objections. Today objections are not filed. 4. The impugned order of eviction was made on 21-9-2010. The instant petition was filed on 12-1-2011. At the time of filing the revision petition, the tenant has not deposited arrears of rent. Even during pendency of this revision petition, petitioner-tenant has not deposited arrears of rent and he has not been paying current rent. The petitioner-tenant has not shown sufficient cause either for non-payment of arrears of rent or current rents. 5. Therefore, in terms of Section 45(4) of the Act, revision petition is dismissed.
