Judgment :- 1. This Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to immediately consider the claim of the petitioner for being promoted/upgraded as Associate professor (Agri. Microbiology) in Tamilnadu Agricultural University and promote her from the date on which her junior was promoted/upgraded as Associate Professor (Agri.Microbiology). 2. At the time of final hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner gave a representation dated 28.6.2002 to the second respondent. The grievance of the petitioner will be met if the second respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 28.6.2002. 3. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the case, except to direct the second respondent to consider the said representation dated 28.6.2002 on its own merits and in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of. This Writ Petition is ordered as above. No costs.
