Judgment :- 1. The writ petition is filed challenging the order of the respondent demanding payment of the electricity charges. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the grievance of the petitioner will be met if his representation dated 9.9.2002 given to the respondent is considered on merits. 3. Without expressing any opinion about the merits of the matter or the merits of the representation of the petitioner dated 9.9.2002 the respondent is directed to consider the said representation along with further representation, if any, made by the petitioner relying on the decision of this court reported in 2010 Writ.L.R. 390 (Shanthi Theatres Private Ltd., rep. By its Director Vs. The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board rep. By its Deputy Financial Controller Chennai) and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. The said exercise has to be carried out by the respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Further, it is made clear that the amount already paid by the petitioner as per the conditional order of this court dated 16.9.2002 shall be taken into consideration, while considering the said representations. 4. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
