Judgment :- 1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice if the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal,dated 27.05.2011, filed by the petitioner, before the first respondent, under Rule 8 (1) and 8 (10-A) of the Tamil Nadu Minerals Concession Rules, 1959, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated period. 3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, the first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the appeal, filed by the petitioner, dated 27.05.2011, if it is in order, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the appeal dated 27.05.2011, to the first respondent, along with a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
