JUDGMENT 1. The challenge in this writ petition is against the charge memo issued by the first respondent, dated 20.12.2004. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was originally appointed as 'Field Surveyor' in the year 1965 and promoted as 'Sub Inspector of Survey' in the year 1984. He retired on 30.06.2002 on attaining the age of superannuation. The Assistant Director of Survey & Land Records, Dindigul, through his proceedings, dated 27.06.2002 permitting the petitioner to retire. Thereafter, the present charge memo came to be passed in the year 2004. 3. Though, the writ petition was filed challenging the said charge memo on various grounds, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner now submits before this court that the petitioner is willing to restrict the relief in this writ petition to seek for a direction to the respondents to complete the enquiry within a time stipulated by this court. 4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that because of stay granted by this court, further enquiry could not be proceeded against the petitioner, pursuant to the issuance of the charge memo. 5. Considering the limited prayer made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and without going into the other merits of the case, I only direct the first respondent to complete the enquiry and pass final orders, in pursuant to the issuance of the impugned charge memo, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
