ORDER : I.A. Nos. 519-521 Heard. 1. For the reasons stated in the application and on the analogy of the order passed by us on 26.08.2013 in I.A. No. 508 in W.P.(C) No.13381 of 1984, we permit the Corporation to remove trees mentioned in the application subject to the condition that such of the trees as can be relocated shall be relocated at appropriate places in consultation with the Chief of State Social Forestry Department. We further direct that not less than 90 tress shall be planted by the Corporation as a part of compulsory afforestation in consultation with the Forest Department at suitable places to be identified by the latter. We make it clear that the entire costs involved the cutting of the tress in question, their relocation and also in plantation of new tress shall be borne by the applicant-Corporation. I.A. No. 522-524: 2. We request the CEC to offer its comments to the prayer made in the application. Mr. A.D.N.Rao, learned counsel for the C.E.C. and Mr. Vijay Panjwani, learned counsel for the Pollution Control Board submit that the petitioner-Corporation must also file a status report as to the steps taken by it pursuant to our order dated 26.08.2013 in I.A. No. 508 in W.P.(C) No.13384 of 1984 whereby the Corporation was directed to plant as a part of compulsory afforestation a minimum of 270 trees at places to be identified by the Social Forestry Department. They submit that while this Court had directed plantation of new trees, the Corporation has not it appears taken any fruitful steps in that direction. Mr. S.W.A.Qadri, Adv. undertakes to file a states report regarding the action taken pursuant to the said order of this Court. 3. Post in the week commencing 20.01.2014.
