JUDGMENT 1. The husband of the petitioner was employed as Assessor at Rasipuram Town section under the control of the 3rd respondent. He died on 19.08.1991, while he was in service. The petitioner made a representation dated 05.04.1994, to give her compassionate appointment, due to the death of her husband. No order was passed by the respondents. In the said circumstances, the petitioner made another representation to provide employment to her daughter. This representation was rejected by an order dated 21.09.2002, by the 3rd respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation dated 08.11.2011, in view of BP No.17 dated 01.11.2011, issued by the respondent Electricity Board. The representation of the petitioner was forwarded by the 3rd respondent to the 4th respondent with necessary recommendations for providing compassionate appointment vide his proceedings K.No. 025430/729/Ne.Pe.1/Oo.Tha.2/Ko.Vaa.Ve/2011 dated 19.11.2011. The Rasipuram Town was originally under the control of third respondent. Now it is under the control of 4th respondent. Hence, the 3rd respondent sent the recommendations to the 4th respondent as stated above. 2. In the aforesaid circumstances, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a direction to the 4th respondent to provide compassionate appointment basing on BP No.17 dated 01.11.2011, referred to above. 3. When the writ petition was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to forward the proposals of the 3rd respondent for compassionate appointment of the petitioner's daughter to the 2nd respondent and if a further direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to pass orders thereon in the light of BP No.17 dated 01.11.2011, within a stipulated period. 4. In view of the narrowness of the prayer made at the time of hearing, a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to forward the proposals of the 3rd respondent for compassionate appointment of the petitioner's daughter to the 2nd respondent. Further, on receipt of such proposal, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass orders thereon in the light of BP No.17 dated 01.11.2011. The said exercise is to be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
