JUDGMENT M. Jaichandren, J. 1. This habeas corpus petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's minor son, namely, Surya aged about 17 years before this Court and to hand over custody of the detenu to the petitioner, who is the father of the detenu. 2. Today, when the habeas corpus petition had been listed for hearing, the detenu had appeared before this Court. The detenu, who had attained majority during the pendency of the habeas corpus petition, had submitted that he has been living with his mother and that he would like to continue to live with his mother. As such, it is made clear that the detenu is at liberty to live with his mother, Kavitha, as per his wish. 3. In such circumstances, as no further orders are necessary and the habeas corpus petition stands closed.
