JUDGMENT :- 1. These writ petitions have been filed to quash the letter, dated 08.10.2010, and consequently, direct the respondent Board to provide job assistance, as assured by them. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petitions, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the claims made by the petitioners would be considered, if they produce the necessary records to show that they were in occupation of the lands, in S.Nos.151/7 and 160/1, Ennore Village, Ponneri Taluk, at the relevant point of time i.e. between 1990 and 1992. Upon production of such records before the second respondent, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, with regard to the claims made by the petitioners, for providing job opportunity in the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, for one member of the family concerned, as per G.O.Ms.No.656 Labour and Employment Department dated 29.06.1978. 3. In view of the said submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, the petitioners are permitted to produce relevant records before the second respondent to show that they were in occupation of the lands, in S.Nos.151/7 and 160/1,Ennore Village, Ponneri Taluk, during the relevant period, between 1990-1992, and on production of the relevant records, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders thereon, with regard to the employment of a member of the families of those who had been displaced from the lands in question, as per G.O.Ms.No.656 Labour and Employment Department, dated 29.06.1978, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petitions are ordered accordingly. No costs.
