Judgment : 1. This writ petition has been filed challenging the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 31.7.2012, and the proceedings issued by the second respondent, dated 14.9.2012, suspending the petitioner from service, based on certain charges. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first and the second respondents had submitted that this Court may be pleased to direct the first respondent to conduct the enquiry relating to the charges levelled against the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a specified period. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, this Court finds it appropriate to direct the first respondent to conduct an enquiry, in respect of the charges levelled against the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Connected M.P.Nos.1 and 2 of 2012 are closed.
